This holiday season, NCTA is teaming up with Cost Plus World Market, a nationwide retailer of home furnishings and decor, international foods and specialty items. Together with NCTA, Cost Plus World Market will be encouraging consumers to "Go green with the look, smell and tradition of a real Christmas Tree," and you are invited to benefit from these efforts.
At no cost to you, Cost Plus World Market will provide you with $5 shop cards (similar to gift cards), which are redeemable at any of their 295 stores nationwide, or online at www.worldmarket.com. In turn, you can then hand these cards out to customers at your Christmas Tree farm or lot, adding value to their purchase. While World Market does not have brick and mortar stores in the Northeast and a few other locations, consumers may still go online to use the cards - so all are invited to participate!
Cost Plus World Market will be supporting this promotion on their Web site, through e-mail blasts and in print advertising. The Cost Plus World Market Web site will even link to NCTA's Web site to help consumers to find a tree in their area.
This program was tested in a regional market in 2007 with excellent feedback from participants.
Participants in the program will receive additional promotional tools and materials in the future, including a printable flyer and graphics for use in advertising and on Web sites.
